Duplicating and deleting
Expression Design offers several ways to make an exact duplicate of any selected object (or objects) in your document.
- Menu command You can click Duplicate from the Edit menu. Expression Design creates the new version up and to the right of the original.
- Dragging objects You can also duplicate an object by dragging it with the Selection tool and holding down the ALT key. (You can hold down the ALT key either before you start dragging or after you start dragging, as long as it's held down when you release the mouse button.)
- Copy and Paste After you click Copy on the Edit menu to copy an object (or objects) to the Clipboard, you can use one of four Paste features to create a duplicate of that object: Paste, Paste in Front, Paste in Back, or Paste with Layer. For more information on these Paste features, see Copy and Paste Objects.
To delete one or more selected objects, press the DELETE key or click Delete on the Edit menu.
